Data Scientist

As Unikie continues to strengthen its data and analytics competences, we are looking for experienced Data Scientist in the Industrial AI area, focusing on data analytics and solution development in industrial applications domain.

You would start your journey in one of our most interesting projects with the role covering the following aspects:

You would join a project team to implement diverse SW solutions to our customers
Main task would be to design, implement and verify the data science and analytics component(s) in the solutions

Your future colleagues are waiting for you to join our international team. We are working in a modern office, almost in the city center of Tampere. Working with us is uncomplicated, there’s a good team spirit, low-hierarchy and nonexistent bureaucracy. Our way of working is flexible too, many of our team work remotely from home with visits to our office from time to time when needed. This role is equally challenging, and as such we offer a very good compensation. We would hope that you are able to start as soon as possible but we are ready to negotiate.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The data professionals we are looking for should be comfortable with the following:

Hands-on Data Science and Machine Learning (software) development from conceptual design and experimentation to actual implementation
Applying diverse advanced approaches and methods to heterogeneous data, e.g. (deep) neural networks, tree ensembles, kernel methods, linear and time-series models, causal inference, and reinforcement learning.
Productizing and managing the full life cycle of data science and machine learning models (ML Ops) with programming languages commonly used in Data Science (Python, R, Scala etc)
Good interpersonal skills and command of English (Finnish and other European languages considered a plus)

In addition, the following will be considered as benefit:

Experience on real-time data (time-series, events, videos etc) and inference, especially in IoT and industrial processes domain
Proficiency in additional programming languages such as C++, C# or JS
Knowledge of cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure) related to data and AI
Experience on data visualization and BI tools
Some understanding on industrial R&D, including edge computing and embedded development
Experience on working as a consultant
