Principal/Senior Computer Vision Researcher

At the moment we are looking for Principal/Senior Computer Vision Researcher to join our team in Helsinki.

We are looking for a Principal/Senior Computer Vision Researcher to work on developing next-generation computer vision technologies. The responsibility involves researching various problems related to computer vision but is not limited to semantic segmentation, object detection and recognition, and 3D vision. You will join a close-knit team of highly accomplished researchers and research engineers to deliver cutting-edge technologies that impact millions of users.

Location: Preferably Helsinki, Finland. Remote locations also possible, considered case by case.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The software professional we are looking for should be comfortable with at least some of the following:

 

  • Ph.D. in computer vision, machine learning, or a relevant field with a strong academic track record
  • Experience working with large-scale Internet services is a plus.
  • 3+ years of research experience in academia or industry, with a solid publication history
  • Strong expertise in at least one area of computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (e.g., deep learning, reinforcement learning, object recognition, tracking, segmentation, multiview geometry, evolutionary computation, and convex optimization).
  • Experience working with OpenCV and proficiency in training large-scale models using modern deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a must.
  • Publication track records in computer vision and machine learning conferences and journals, including but not limited to CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, BMVC, ACCV, WACV, PAMI, IJCV, and CVIU.
  • Skilled in explaining and presenting analyses and CV/ML concepts to a broad technical audience.
  • Creative, collaborative and innovation-focused.
  • Possibility to travel as required by work demands.
  • Fluent English written & speaking.

 

Beneficial skills:

  • Fluent in several European languages, Chinese is a plus.
  • Experience in project management.
