Arete, a provider of RCS hosted solutions for carriers, completed their GSMA accreditation for their areteai RCS hosted solution in January 2021. The GSMA accreditation test cases were run using Unikie Android RCS applications and traces examined by GSMA.

One of Finland’s fastest growing technology companies is opening a new development site in Kuopio, eastern Finland. Unikie’s Kuopio unit will strengthen the company’s own technology development as well as provide service to local clients, such as the machine industry company Ponsse.

Business Finland selected Unikie as one of three winners in the latest Growth Engine funding competition round.

Esko Mertsalmi, CEO of software technology company Unikie, was awarded the Software Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 title today. The Finnish Software and E-business Association chose the Software Entrepreneur of the Year now for the 19th time.  

The finalists for the Ernst & Young national Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 competition were announced today, on December 1, at Finlandia Hall. One of the ten finalists, Unikie is represented by founding member and CEO Esko Mertsalmi.

VTS Finland will start managing the port operations efficiency application implemented by Unikie. The application originally implemented for ports of Rauma (FIN) and Gävle (SWE) will be made available for ports globally, both as dedicated port apps but also as SaaS. Unikie will offer the SaaS version internationally while VTS Finland offers the SaaS for Finnish port.

Unikie, a Finland-based software technology company has raised €12 million from CapMan Growth and Tesi to speed up international expansion.

Unikie has strengthened its U.S. operations by appointing Petri Talala as Vice President & General Manager of Unikie Inc. Mr Talala accelerates Unikie’s business growth and runs the U.S. office based in Boulder, Colorado.

Dr. Sc. (Tech.) Seppo Kuula is appointed as a new CEO of the software technology company Unikie. The current CEO and Unikie co-founder Esko Mertsalmi will continue to work full-time in the company’s board.

Unikie has completed the requirements to participate in Ericsson Industry 4.0 partner program, delivering value by utilizing Ericsson 5G solutions in creating disruptive autonomous Automotive and Industrial technology solutions.

The software technology company Unikie continues to grow. Unikie has acquired the business of Boftel in Poland and expanded operations to be closer to the German premium car manufacturers.
