Technology service company Unikie has appointed M.Sc. (Tech.) Juha Ala-Laurila as a new CEO, starting at September 1st, 2024. Unikie is one of Finland’s fastest growing technology companies. Its revenue was 65 million euros in 2023. The revenue growth from the previous year was over 17%.
Unikie’s goal is to be a strong Finnish technology export company. More than 50% of the company’s turnover already comes from outside Finland. Its customers include the world’s leading automotive, machine and device manufacturers, as well as the world’s best-known technology companies.
When Juha Ala-Laurila starts as the company’s new CEO at the beginning of September, the current CEO and founder Seppo Kolari will focus on leading Unikie’s sales in the United States. He also continues as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Juha has been the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) since autumn 2023. He has extensive experience in international management positions in several technology companies.

Unikie employs approximately 600 software technology professionals, providing its customers with experts and innovative solutions. Unikie focuses especially on embedded software in the modern automotive and machine industry, cybersecurity, remote device management, sensors and various artificial intelligence solutions. In addition, Unikie develops and sells its own marshalling product platform, which allows variety of vehicles to be moved autonomously, for example, in gated logistics compounds.
