Unikie is the third fastest growing technology company in Finland in 2019. Unikie, founded 2015, employs nearly 300 people including subcontractors and is aiming for a turnover of 50 million this year. The listing of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 program was announced at the Tampere Town Hall yesterday.
Esko Mertsalmi, CEO, thanks Unikie’s awesome team, employees and customers for the success. He also gives humble thanks to the five founders of the company, including Mertsalmi himself. They all have believed in doing from the beginning.
– We saw the need for reform in the market and started implementing it. We value results, transparency and respect for what we do, Mertsalmi sums up the recipe for success.
Unikie focuses on demanding embedded software for Automotive, Smart machinery, Industry 4.0 and Telecom. Unikie has own technology solutions for each segment available including the Unikie AI Vision, a market ready full stack solution for autonomous driving (AD). Customers include Sandvik, Nokia and Valmet.
Unikie operates in Finland, Sweden, Germany and USA and based on the current market demand of our expertise and our technology solutions, the expectation is to continue our strong and profitable growth internationally.
– We are now in an exciting transformation of to turn truly international. We have great international customers and good growth prospects. About one third of revenue comes from exports. We still aim for remarkable growth also in the future, says Mertsalmi.
Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program lists the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Finland. This year the program was implemented on the basis of the official financial statements of the companies. It was the 14th time when Deloitte ran the Fast 50 competition in Finland. The program has been implemented in cooperation with the City of Tampere and Business Tampere.
