Unikie and TPS Junior Ice Hockey in Turku have made a contract for the 2016-2017 season. Unikie is also sponsoring LeKi’s ice hockey juniors in Lempäälä during the 2016-2017 season. Unikie wants to support the clubs’ youth programs, as their high quality and great educational environment are things highly valued at Unikie.
– Young people are the future. We want to be involved in supporting young people who have a burning passion for their hobby and a desire to progress, says Unikie CEO Esko Mertsalmi.
Ice hockey has a strong presence in Unikie, as former NHL player Mikko Eloranta is one of the company’s founding members. In addition to his role at Unikie, Eloranta has been working as a scout for the NHL since this fall.
