One of Finland’s fastest growing technology companies is opening a new development site in Kuopio, eastern Finland. Unikie’s Kuopio unit will strengthen the company’s own technology development as well as provide service to local clients, such as the machine industry company Ponsse.
”Embedded software development together with computer assisted data management are our key areas of expertise. The Kuopio site support the development of this area of expertise”, says Unikie CEO Seppo Kuula.
Unikie offers technical platforms and technology development services for application development of autonomous vehicles and real time process control, as well as development for cyber security and secure data transfer. There is demand for our offering as digitalization is forcing companies to bring their operations to a new level using, among others, artificial intelligence and automation.
”As technology developers we are at a vantage point as we define the future. Our talented engineers are building smart technology and demanding application solutions together with our clients to, for example, help keep the Finnish machine industry at the forefront”, Kuula explains.
Developing demanding software solutions requires employees to have, besides expertise, an ambition to solve the clients’ problems. Employees play a key role at Unikie and much is expected of them. Unikie sees great potential in opening a site specifically in Kuopio. The excellent educational opportunities of the university city especially in mathematics and computing create the kind of expertise the industry needs.
Founded in 2015, Unikie is a technology company focused on demanding device-edge-cloud based software. Its main segments are the automotive industry, intelligent machines, industry 4.0 and telecommunications.
