This agreement enables Unikie to engage in NATO and member state tender processes and procurements, thereby unlocking substantial international business opportunities. It aligns with Unikie’s strategy and enhances its Defence & Security business.
The NATO Basic Ordering Agreement (BAO) benefits companies by providing an entry point for doing business with NATO, enables preferred supplier status, and increased visibility in the NATO ecosystem.
With solid experience in developing dual-use and embedded technologies, Unikie serves multiple customers in the global defence industry.
“Unikie sees high growth potential in Europe and the United States for new defence technologies and solutions. This framework agreement is a consistent step in implementing Unikie’s strategy in the Defence & Security domain,” says Juha Ala-Laurila, CEO of Unikie.
In the current world situation where conflicts and hybrid threats put sovereign countries and individuals at risk, it has become increasingly important for the defence industry to develop new technologies with strategic partners and ecosystem.
“We will work side-by-side with NATO family members and partners to increase strategic capabilities for joint deterrence by developing dual-use technology-based solutions with fast market entry” says Jari Mielonen, VP Defence & Security at Unikie.
